"Mike trained me and took me from a novice who couldn’t manage one length front crawl and who hadn’t been a bike since childhood, to an IM triathlete in just 9 months. He programmed the training to suit me and my particular needs, but most importantly was always on hand when it felt like I had bitten off more than I could chew – which was often! It’s no exaggeration to say that I could not have completed my long course triathlon (The Big Woody) in September 07 without his valuable guidance and advice along the way. I cannot recommend him highly enough."

"Thanks again for all the support and advice. I would have been lost without the hard work you have put in on my behalf - it's over to me now. You have done all you can!"
John, Scotland
"Having spent many years playing football and hitting the gym hour after hour, I decided to give myself a challenge for 2008 and had the idea of competing in Triathlon's but never thought it possible but by fate and through the good advice of Mike's colleague Luke, who put me in touch with the Iron man himself set me off on a programme which I find achievable, well structured to suit my own personal development and giving me the ability to succeed for not only the London Triathlon in Aug 08 but many more events.
Since becoming a recruit of the Tri Performance training programme in Dec 07, I have not only gained invaluable advice from a very understanding and professional coach but I feel more confident in achieving the impossible and I've already seen an immense improvement in my technique across all 3 disciplines of Bike, Running and especially my Swimming, which I personally find the hardest of the 3 (I've managed to decrease my strokes from 39 to 25 strokes in just 2months, my overall body movement in the water - which has been hard work due to cracking a childhood habit and doing set drills one-on-one to identify and improve my weaknesses) and yet there's still more to learn.
In the build up to this I have already started to compete in local events and setting myself time benchmarks for improving my personal best (PB). I was very pleased to have started my first racing season with the Spring Ball Buster at Box hill and just recently the Kingston Full Breakfast (16mile) run, beating both times I'd personally set myself and was surprised to have beaten them on both occasions.
Being on the Tri Performance programme has definitely given me the tri bug and I am certainly looking forward to progressing further into my season with Mikes continuing support and training experience. My next challenge is the Swindon Duathlon on 6th April 08 and there are still many more to come.
A highly recommended professional!"
