Up and running

After what has seemed like an eternity, the site is starting to take shape, and I am a month away from being a fulltime athlete. Having spent 6 years trying to fit Ironman around work, its fantastic to finally be in a position where Ironman is my work! Fingers crossed that I can do this opportunity justice and reach my potential - whatever that is...

Training Log

I am going to be keeping a training log online. Check it out here.

Pause for thought...

If you aim for the moon and miss, you will land amongst the stars.

World Long Distance Champs - Almere

Full race report to come from what was quite a disappointing day at the office. In the meantime, I would like to stress the importance of having a good support team behind you. Sherpas make getting to these big races so much easier.

Vo2 Max Testing

On 28/11/2007 I went to Brunel University to carry out a Vo2 max test. This was in order to help Andy with his Sports Science Bsc, but the data will also prove to be very helpful to me in terms of planning my training this coming year. The test hurt a lot, especially as I am just coming back to training after a rest. We are going to be repeating the whole thing again after xmas, and Andy is hoping to see an improvement in my figures. Best not go too crazy on the beer and mince pies then...
